My son is too young to push the buttons and the soother only plays one song at a time. So unless you're child is old enough and wants to continue to push the buttons don't buy this product. It's a great idea and settles my son when the song is playing but once that one song is done, it's useless.

We saw this and thought it would be great for our year-old daughter who has trouble going to sleep on her own. After wrestling it out of the box and putting in the required three D-batteries, we secured it to her crib and pushed the button. The musical choices are nice, and the lamb and bunny are adorable. However, once you change from option one (the music only) to two and three (music, lights and motion and music, lights, motion and light show respectively) the motor makes a horrible grinding sound. The only way to combat the grinding was to turn the music up to an unacceptable level. As noted in the other review, unless you buy the $70 companion MP3 player, the music will stop after one song (unless the parent or child pushes the play button again.)

We bought this for grandma's house expecting it to be similar to the fisher price rainforest soother that we have at home and love! We were very disappointed to find that if you don't buy the separate MP3 player for it you can't control the time that it plays music, lights, motion. It will only play one song and then stop. My baby is too young to push the button himself so obviously it won't be very soothing at night if it only plays for 2 minutes. The rainforest soother that we have plays for 18 minutes.
