Product Description The winner of several industry awards, including the Editor's Choice blue ribbon from Baby Talk, each Twilight Turtle is individually hand painted for a unique, artful look that complements any nursery or children's room. Plush and soft, with a sturdy plastic shell, this nightlight is best placed on the floor in the center of the room, where it projects a starry night sky onto the ceiling and walls. For interactive fun, parents can also sit with their children and identify and describe the features of eight major constellations, including the Big Dipper and the Big Bear, with the help of the beautifully illustrated Star Guide. The Twilight Turtle also includes a warm-hearted story about how Twilight Turtle, separated from his father, uses the constellations to find his way home.

Turtle star night light January 6, 2009 Nicole Dowd (Sault Ste Marie, MI USA) The Cloud b Twilight Constellation Night Light is a winner in our home! Our 3 1/2 year old loves it and uses it every night. Our son is six and tries to take it away for himself. We like that it turns itself off after 20 minutes and kids can choose the color they want the stars and moon to shine on the ceiling. It's worth the money!
ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC PRODUCT December 30, 2008 Vanishree V. Karpuram (nc,usa) I happen to be just one of those types who always seem to have the worst luck when it comes to buying things online, either the items are always broken, malfunctioning, defective or misplaced or lost, and therefore I had always been very wary of commiting myself to online buying especially after a number of very unpleasant experiences.I had recently purchased the lavender lab from cloud b which turned out to be a total dud.I had already placed my order for the twilight turtle before recieving the lab and hence was setting myself up for another huge dissapointment, but boy! was I pleasantly surprised!! I had read many bad reviews of this item and was thoroughly expected facing the same problems as the other customers, but this was one product which completely restored my faith in online buying again!!Its absolutely fabulous, delivering every bit of what is promised and worth every cent!! The turtle is beautifully made, very appealing to the eye and touch, soft enough to be cuddled by a child, and it works wonderfully. It projects very clear stars with even a crescent moon, the colors, (I got the blue, green and amber)are all very sharp, even the amber. The turtle projects decent sized stars, clearly visible to the eye, and I found that contrary to most reviews, the stars projected by all 3 colors are sharp and very well seen, even the amber. The display of stars is amazing, projecting a wonderful soft glow, this is ONE product which is DEFNITELY genuine in doing what it promises. The only tricky part may be the placement of the turtle to get the best display on the ceiling, but this has nothing to do with the rpoduct itself which is just AWESOME, if you have a kid or are yourself a stars and moon fancier, DEFNITELY go out and get one of these, worth every penny, and I absolutely recommend this, greatest lil device ever.
simple and sweet December 29, 2008 CBuck (New Jersey) Just that... simple and sweet. The first fun, yet dim light that does NOT keep kids awake by shining in their eyes, OR require electrical outlets ( a huge safety concern for something left on for long periods around babies/toddlers) that I have found. There are 3 colors of light to choose from, sending stars and a crescent moon on the ceiling and upper walls. the lower it is to the ground, the bigger and more expanse the sky is. higher places send smaller stars in a more compact area. You do the size and color you or your child likes. I purched this for my <1 yr old, but my 3 year old has taken it over and will not go to bed without it. He pretends to be "camping-out" every night. Very cute.
Great turtle December 15, 2008 iMom (Florida) My 2.5 yr old loves this turtle. Extra bonus I didn't think of when I bought it is that it is easy to take with you anywhere. It will come in handy on trips.
Great idea, terrible product December 2, 2008 Chrysophylax (Connecticut) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
Being an amateur astronomer and now a parent, I was enticed by the idea of a cute & cuddly product that could help spark an interest and love of astronomy in my children. The idea here is sound and good. The actual product, once received, left me bitterly disappointed. Despite other reviews I've seen here on Amazon, don't expect a CD of relaxing music to come with the turtle.. and don't expect even a 45 minute timer. This has neither. There is a button to turn it on and off.. and a button for each of the three color choices (green, blue and yellow.) I wholeheartedly agree with one of the other reviewers that the yellow lighting is so dim it's hard to see the stars, even in a very dark room, compared to the other color choices. Mind you, I'm writing this from a geek parent's point of view. I doubt most kids would care. I was also disappointed with the actual projection itself - the stars are all the same size, pentagram star-shaped and all the same color. Even with only the "major" stars represented, this still makes it difficult to locate constellations, since the star's brightness and color is a major guide in locating them in the night sky. The upshot of this is that even someone quite familiar with the night sky has trouble locating the easy constellations - I can't imagine the average parent helping their child to see them. It'd also be nice if the moon's phase was adjustable, although there are probably easier ways to teach kids about the moon. In the end, I'm thinking $30 is really expensive for a night light and the quality is far too low to be a decent teaching/inspiring tool. One could easily make a better product by poking an old star map with pin holes and laying it down on a light board.
