Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
Our #1 selling hip carrier. This carrier combines the benefits of carrying your baby on your hip with stylish and easy-to-use design. This is the only hip carrier on the market with a shoulder strap that cups the shoulder, rather than riding up toward the wearer's neck. Add the supportive waist strap, and you have a very practical, comfortable baby carrier. A fantastic solution for any baby over 3 months. We even know many moms who still use this into the toddler years! 90% sustainably-harvested organic cotton or hemp.

4 out of 5 stars Comfortable and attractive   February 22, 2007

This is the most comfortable carrier I have tried, and the easiest to put on. The shoulder-cupping theory works well in practice, at least with my son who is 7.5 kilos right now. The carrier itself is well made and the clasps are nice to have instead of having to tie it on. I would say that mobility is a tad limited because if you have to reach for anything high up the shoulder strap slips up around my neck, but otherwise I was able to do stuff around the house while wearing my son, and we were both comfortable.

This is so much better than the Bjorn carrier. You can wear it on the hip or in front. It is very comfortable. My baby always felt secure and I never thought he would come out. I could wear my 25 pound baby for 2 hours without a problem. My back and shoulders were never sore. Easy to put on. Great way to calm a fussy baby! Reversible black for men too!

3 out of 5 stars Ouch my shoulder!   November 9, 2006

My son grew out of his other baby carrier rather quickly. He weighed about 22 lbs. when I purchased this carrier. I liked the idea of a hip sling and I was excited about this product because it could accomodate babies up to 30 lbs, and seemed simple to use. I loved the fabric and the look of this carrier.

This product claimed to take the weight off of your back by cupping the shoulder with one of the straps. It did indeed do this, but only lead to a very sore shoulder after about 15 minutes. It is also a little difficult to hold your baby and put the strap under your arm and then around the opposite shoulder. I got a lot of strange looks in the parking lots.lol I sometimes needed whoever was with me to help me out. There is also a great deal of extra fabric from the straps that hangs all the way down to the floor. The instructions said you could simply tuck it away, but I had a hard time doing that because there was so much left hanging. When I tucked it in the carrier there was a giant bulge. I guess you could cut it?? I wouldn't recommend this product for babies over 20 lbs.
