The best thing since sliced bread! September 7, 2008 Erin M. Walker (Monterey, CA) My daughter absolutely loves this playmat. We even had to call the company (Kids II) and order a replacement lion because hers was "dying" after many many many uses. They didn't have the lion to send us but sent us a replacement lady bug and a little laughing frog at no charge. The company was great as far as customer service goes! :) I would definitely recommend this product!
Baby loves it, so we love it too. July 3, 2008 Paun Ecaterina Probably the best toy we bought for our baby so far. She started to use it from 1 month and now, 4 months later, she is still very found of it. We had to change the battery of the singing toy -a lion, but we really use the toy during this time. The lion sings 4 songs, each one lasts for about 40 seconds, I guess. The problem is that for a little baby you have to pull the lion's tail to sing, but our baby was very attracted by this toy.
great buy May 7, 2008 Sally Friedrich My mother got this for my son. He's still not old enough to start reaching for the toys, but he'll stare at them. Our kitten thinks it's the greatest thing ever... he's playing with it any time my son isn't on it! This play gym is great for the money.
Why pay big bucks when you can have this great little gym for much less! December 12, 2007 Kay I bought this gym before my daughter was even born, we used it occasionally right from the start but are now starting to get serious everyday use out of it (4 months) and she's just figured out how to get the lion to play the music. I had to add extra links in to bring the toys down to a level where she can reach them as she's not sitting yet, otherwise it's very frustrating for her to be able to see but not touch them (Bright Starts, which makes this gym, also makes some really snazzy links for a few dollars a pack). My only real criticism is that the mat is rather thin and with my hardwood floors I have to put it on blankets otherwise it's not enough padding between her and the floor. Because of this I don't find the small size mentioned by other reviewers to be a problem as the blankets extend the mat size. I would give it a five star myself except for the mat, doesn't bother me but might be a factor for others in deciding whether to buy or not. My daughter absolutely loves it though and I can't give a better recommendation for a baby toy than from a baby. It's also great value for the money, much cheaper than most quality gyms on the market - and my daughter way prefers it to her swing and bouncer, both of which cost more than twice the price of this gym!
Good value and entertaining December 5, 2007 L. S. Samuel (NY, USA) The play mat is very entertaining for my baby and excellent for the price especially since I did not want to spend so much for a toy the baby would soon outgrow. The mat is not very big but suitable and sufficiently padded for babies still lying on their back. It comes with a soft lion toy, mirror, yellow teething spiral ring, round plastic toy with beads and a round rattle and 6 links. The lion toy is really cute and plays soft and lovely tunes. I give it 4 stars because there is no set technique to make the lion play music. Sometimes it works on just tugging it, sometimes on shaking the play mat bars, or pressing it. And it runs on non-replaceable batteries. The mirror is good size with clear reflection. The mat itself has tabs to insert links with toys. I easily swap out the toys with different ones (from the money saved) so the baby stays entertained. Purchased it at Target for $24.99. Overall good value for the money spent.
