Amazon.com Product Description Toot! Toot! Here come the animals, riding around on a musical choo-choo train. This fun motorized train helps babies ages six months to three years learn about animals through song and play. The Amazing Animals and Their Choo-Choo Simply place one of the three small friends in the engine car to one of four amusing songs about animals. Baby will love to crawl along with the train as it lights up, playing music and sounds. The Go Choo-Choo also encourages curiosity as the baby figures out how to make it go. Each train car has a unique feature that captures your precious little one's attention and keeps them busy. You can choose between a sitting mode for the youngest baby and motion-activated for older play. Watch out parents, the tunes are so catchy, you'll soon be humming them yourself! Each animal car is full of rewarding activities to engage baby's attention. The engine car has leaf-shaped beads that slide from side-to-side and the smallest car has a built-in trapeze for the monkey. A light-up smokestack delights the eyes and when pressed the train moves forward in a straight line. For hours of amusement, the animals have movable joints, textured feet, teethable ears, and rainstick sounds. This toy is made from sturdy plastic and can withstand harsh child play. It rides especially smooth over hard surfaces, but works on carpet too. Best of all, should you suddenly feel like you're in a zoo, there is a power-volume control for quiet play. The Go Choo-Choo Train requires three C batteries (not included) and measures 23-by-7-by-13 inches (LxWxH). Features It is no surprise that this choo-choo was chosen for Parent's Magazine Best Toys of the Year award, 2006, as well as other prestigious awards. It develops motor skills and helps babies learn to crawl, while teaching them about animals. And these chunky animals are not just cute, their feet are sculpted with various textures for fun exploration and they have teether ears to chew on. This toy also appeals to a diverse age, from babies who are first learning to crawl to toddlers who like to sing along with the animal friends. Plus, Amazing Animals sets are available if you'd like to add to the bunch. What's in the Box Three animal friends and a motorized train.

Nice fun - but goes better for the 18 months timeframe January 3, 2009 Stop Me (Albany NY) Got this for my son when he was 6 months. Now that he is 18 months (a yr since I bought it), he enjoys the toy more. Tries to imitate the sounds of the animals he hears. Also likes to see the train move around with the song. Engages him for some time...
Loud, obnoxious, gaudy. December 28, 2008 Ms. Understood (Florida, USA) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
We received this for our 15 month old baby as a Christmas gift, after asking to NOT get battery-operated, noise-making toys. This toy is both of those things, to the extreme. It is LOUD, even when it's supposed to be on low. The songs are really bad and the singer's voice is the same obnoxious, over-done, annoying (and creepy) female/child hybrid voice that's used on nearly every Fisher-Price toy. Like all toys of this type, there is nothing left to a child's imagination, and there is no real educational value. The "educational" features are all just things to dupe parents and especially grandparents into buying it----because, as Fisher Price knows, most parents and especially grandparents seem to think that the toy with the most "bells & whistles" is actually the best toy to buy. Despite the button that makes several recorded fake animal sounds when you push it, I can't fathom how this thing would actually teach a baby animal sounds. Why not buy kids more realistic play animals with no sounds or even a book with pictures of animals, and teach them yourself what each animal says? Save the [...] (+ the money for the 3 "C" batteries) and use it instead for (just one of many examples) a simple wooden pull/push train that runs on human propulsion and imagination. Noisier/gaudier/battery-operated does not equal better, and this toy is one of the finest examples I've seen to illustrate that point.
Great fun! December 24, 2008 Carol A. Buss I purchased this toy for my eight month old grandson. He squealed with delight when I pushed the engine's "smokestack". He tried to grab the animals out of the box before I was able to disconnect them. Such fun to watch!
Fisher Price, always a good choice! December 16, 2008 Berni (Quinlan, TX USA) This whimsical toy "lives" on the floor of Annabelle Rose's bedroom, right near her crib and changing table, always in sight. She is one year old now, VERY GROWN UP! The sweet music, gentle movement, smiling animals and bright colors are so familiar to her that she chooses one animal to take a nap with each day. Annabelle Rose has taken such pleasure in the Fisher Price Amazing Animals Sing and Go Choo Choo, that I have purchased this reliable and ever-working toy for a baby shower and then another for Taryn Charlize, my other one year old granddaughter. A wonderful toy ... and a reasonable price for lasting quality.
A lot of fun December 13, 2008 JJ Bloom (Los Angeles, CA) My 7 month old son LOVES this toy. He was immediately attracted to it and chooses to play with the giraffe or train engine over his other toys. My only regret is that we got it in the store... we could have used the "frustration free" packaging because it was a MAJOR pain to get out of the box.
