I have been using this item for 2 weeks now, and it has proven to be an excellent help when you go out to a shopping mall, and don't want to worry about your children running around.

I have always thought the harness idea was horrible for children, until I was heading to New York City on vacation with my 4 year old. It was wonderful!! I felt so much more secure knowing she was attached to me that I could enjoy the trip. My daughter loved it from the moment it came in the mail. No, there isn't much room in the backpack section, but I didn't buy it to use as a backpack, I bought it to use as a SAFETY device and it worked.

My daughter just loves her harness. She thinks we are playing dress-up when she puts it on and pretends she's a puppy. Some people have even stopped us to see what brand it was. They really think it is discreet. I no longer have to run after her in the shopping mall or in the parking lot. Finally, we are both enjoying our outings together and she is finally safe!

I love these. I think it is better to have some type of cute restraint system rather than have your child run off and get hit by a car or turn up missing. Kids move fast and these keep them close when you might be temporarily distracted ie. shopping or at a park of some sort such a the zoo or Disney etc. For those who think they are traumatizing their children I disagree. My kids love them. They are not being treated like dogs and safe is better than injured, dead or taken....other people often ask where I got them and think they are a great idea. I have had no negative comments. And best of all these wash really well...kids do get dirty....
