Amazon.com Product Reviews

Jumpstart baby's development with the Evenflo ExerSaucer Delux active learning center. It does require some assembly, and with all the toys and parts, this takes a little while to put together. But once you've achieved that, you and baby are rewarded with hours of activity. Made of durable, molded plastic, the learning center can be used indoors or outdoors. Three height positions allow the toy to grow with baby, and the seat locks in six positions to provide stability. Inside the ExerSaucer baby can sit, stand, rock, bounce, and play with the seven age-appropriate toys. The Evenflo ExerSaucer Delux was created to help children reach nine key developmental milestones:

  • Tactile development
  • Visual development
  • Object permanence
  • Hand-eye coordination
  • Gross motor skills
  • Fine motor skills
  • Object exploration
  • Cause and effect learning
The seat pad is removable and washable, and the manufacturer recommended age is four months until walking age with a maximum height of 30 inches. --Scott Teal

Helps Baby Reach Nine Key Developmental Milestones
Made to encourage mental and physical growth while keeping your baby's interest, the ExerSaucer both entertains and helps baby reach nine important developmental milestones. The learning center's bright colors and varying textures aid tactile and visual development, while the different games teach baby about object permanence.

Playing with the toys supports healthy hand-eye coordination and hones both gross and fine motor skills. Babies also learn to explore the varying object functions so they gain knowledge of cause and effect relationships.

Physical Exercise For a Happy, Healthy Baby
Bouncing in the seat, rocking back and forth and turning to see and play with the different toys helps baby's physical development. These movements strengthen neck, back and leg muscles to improve gross motor skills and inspire a love of movement. In addition, the landscaped tray brings the adorable garden-theme toys within baby's reach, while still allowing baby to stretch from different angles as he plays.

Comfortable Positioning That Grows With Your Child
One of the unique features of this ExerSaucer is that it truly grows with your child. Three height adjustments allow you to ensure a comfortable playing environment, while the three flip-down feet give younger babies the stability they need to attempt rocking and spinning.

For added safety, the seat locks in six positions to provide stability. Once inside the ExerSaucer, your baby can sit, stand, rock, bounce, and play with the seven age-appropriate toys, either independently or with mom and dad there to share in the fun.

The convenient carrying handle also lets you move the ExerSaucer quickly and easily so your child can play wherever you are in the house. And the removable seat is machine washable for a clean, hygienic play environment.

5 out of 5 stars jumpin' jack   November 1, 2008
G. Beck (Illinois)
I think my granddaughter started to jump before she did anything else. She just loves this. It is also light weight enough to move around, but sturdy enough for her to jump.

4 out of 5 stars Kind of girly   October 28, 2008
Lou A. Deroux
This item lost one star because of lack of instruction when putting together. If you take some time and think about it though you can get it togehter. The instructions need to be rewritten though. I did buy this for my son and it's pretty girly but he likes it and the colors are unisex. It's just flower themed. I would have bought the circus one for him instead if it had been in stock. Otherwise it seems pretty sturdy and once put together moves well.

4 out of 5 stars exactly as I expected   October 3, 2008
S. Frederickson
Just what I wanted. My 5 month old son loves it. He is alternately fascinated by each of the different toys. There is also some small tray areas to just set his own toys for more variety. The one thing I'd liked to have know before I bought it was that there is a height limit of 30 inches. For most that's not an issue, however my son is very tall and at 5 months is already 27 inches tall. So he will probably outgrow it in height before he outgrows it developmentally (can walk). So keep this in mind if your child is in the 90th+ percentile for height. Otherwise, love it and have found it a great place for him to play while I'm making dinner or other kinds of things where he can't just play on the floor next to me.

4 out of 5 stars Lifesaver!   September 17, 2008
Leah Spitler (Albuquerque, NM USA)
My daughter's exersaucer was my life saver. Once she turned about 4 mos old she would not lay down for anything. I was able to prop her up in the exersaucer with a blanket and she had a great time. As she got bigger, I moved the height up, and she kept playing! Of course, her attention span meant it never lasted more than a little while, but it was at least enough to jump in the shower every now and then! However, I would reccommend looking at local resale shops or other places for used ones. They are very expensive new (even the cheap ones!) and I've found that my resale shop always has a ton of them for a good price. Plus, it's already assembled for you!

3 out of 5 stars a so so purchase   August 26, 2008
Andrew (Ithaca, NY)
I bought this stuff about a month ago. It has'nt been used frequently. My son is not very interested in it but if you put him in he'll stay there for about 20 min. So I guess it's still useful if you really need a short break from your baby. Now he's 6 months old and about 27.5 inch. I feel the design of the seat is not very good. When I put my baby in, he tends to lean forward a lot. I guess it is partly because my baby can not sit very well. Maybe when he grows a bit older and can sit and stand well, he will fully enjoy the Exersaucer.
