3 out of 5 stars Not the best quality   December 10, 2008
winnie (PA United States)
My daughter's preschool has this model in their nursery play area. Well the DS is now 3 months old and is ready for a saucer.

I've had saucers before with my other 2 children but got rid of them while pregnant with my son because I intend to purchase a new model. So I thought maybe this cute one would be a good fit.

The legs are not as secure as the traditional saucers and the play mat is not the best quality and IMO does not look as good as the traditional hard bottomed saucers and seems like it would be a pain to clean. The toy bar is cute but overall I thought this saucer was not going to be a good fit for what I am looking for.

So I give it 3 stars for the cute appeal but take 2 stars away for what I see as a poor design.

We got this exersaucer for our daughter and the first stage she hates so we never used that one...the 2nd stage she likes and is amazed by the mirror...i got a few switcharoos to trade out the toys! i wish the stars would do something but they are boring and dont move at all :( afterall it was a good price for a great toy to entertain our daughter!

3 out of 5 stars worst assembly ever   January 31, 2008
Ann Asher
I chose this item firstly because all of my children have had exersaucers and they are great. Secondly, for the oceanic theme. What disappoints me is the teadious assembly. You would think that in 14 years the item would become easier to assemble - no- every other model has been simpler than this. It is not necessary to have me assembling spring parts. Other exersaucers have come out of the box and just clicked together; if they had maintained this standard, I'd have given it 5 stars. Otherwise, it is loads of fun and I believe a 'must have' item for the sitting to walking baby-one might consider a different model, however.

4 out of 5 stars Cute and fun   June 9, 2007

Eliana is 3 months old and just now she's starting to enjoy this procutc in its full ansamble. Any baby younger than that would not have the neck and core control to maintain balance wile in the activity center to make use of her/his arms to play with the different colorful attachments, so "stage 1" ansambly would be preferable.

Safety: I am very satisfied. None of the objects have sharp edges or detach from its position; even after some serious hard pulling. And all the little noice making thingys are well enclosed in their capsules, so no chocking hazard.

Cleaning: My only problem with this product was the complexity of taking the floor matt out to be washed. When the product is put together on "stage 1", babies lay on the matt to play with the hanging fishes and other stuff. But Eliana spits up alot, so I would have to wash it every week, and I would have to pull the base totally appart to get it in and out.
When product is on "stage 2", taking the seat appart for washing is very easy, and since the other surfaces are all plastic, you can just wipe them out.

Travel: This product is very easy to travel with. I whish they would provide a bag or cover to put it in, since you have to take almost all of the attachments out inorder to get is as compact as possible.

OVERALL: I love it. I would've given it 5 stars if not for the cleaning issue.

My four-month old daughter appears totally mesmerized with product. Unfortunately, the sea shell cup stopped working after only two days.
